D250S Dual Charger Launched at Southampton Boat Show

CTEK, a leading global brand in the care and maintenance of vehicle batteries, has launched the D250S Dual, a new 20A DC/DC on board charging system that will maximise the performance and increase the life of consumer batteries.

With many on board charging systems lacking the sophistication required to charge leisure batteries beyond around 80%, batteries are at a severe risk of sulphation and stratification, the two biggest battery killers. The CTEK D250S Dual combats this problem by using patented CTEK technology deployed in their award winning mains chargers - to condition, 100% charge and maintain all types of lead-acid leisure batteries, thereby maximising performance and extending life.

Drawing its energy from the boat generator, this small yet powerful 20A charger continuously determines the needs of the battery, delivering a safe, powerful charge whilst making sure that it doesn’t damage the alternator or overcharge the battery. The optional solar and wind connector enables additional maintenance charging of both the consumer battery and starter battery when the boat is stationary.
