X8.5 combines top performance with exclusive luxury
Hoorn, 14 July 2011 – X-Craft, the only builder of customized RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) in the Netherlands, has launched a new model: the X8.5. The first craft of this type has been delivered to its American owner this summer. The X8.5 is a seaworthy RIB boasting unparalleled boating performance, comfortable luxury, and customized design down to the smallest details.
With the introduction of the X8.5, X-Craft’s portfolio now consists of three basic models that can be customized in countless ways in terms of technology and design. Lengthwise the X8.5 takes an intermediate position between the existing X8.0 and X9.0, yet it has more deck space which allows, for example, for additional seats. The version delivered this summer is equipped with two Mercury Verado 300hp engines, capable of boosting the boat to speeds of up to 65kn. Still, the X-Craft RIBs are more than just rough-and-tough water demons. They also serve perfectly as a stable, safe and comfortable superyacht tender, complete with a sundeck for quality relaxation with family and friends.
US Marines
The sleek and sportive curves of the X-Craft RIBs form a standard combination with the very best quality materials and technology. Additionally, the recently delivered craft has been custom-finished with a range of options: a metallic finishing, a stainless steel radar arch, all conceivable Garmin equipment, an ergonomic swim ladder and an especially designed towing eyelet to tow the RIB when used as a superyacht tender. Suspension seats
In addition to the RIBs, X-Craft also develops shock-mitigating boat seats. Customers include shipyards, coast guards, the navy and private parties. These jockey seats have a patented suspension system that easily cushions even the strongest blows to the hull, making sportive boating a truly comfortable experience. The X-Craft Full Carbon is the top model. With its carbon fiber and titanium construction, it is the lightest boat suspension seat available worldwide.
