Garmin Busy at LBS
Garmin introduced a number of new products at this year’s London Boat Show, ranging from chartplotters and touch screen multifunction displays to solid-state pulse compression radars, transducers and dive computers.
 
Products included Garmin’s ActiveCaptain, a content management system with unlimited access to cartography, automatic delivery of the latest software and off-vessel planning capabilities.
 
The ECHOMAP Plus series is Garmin’s next generation of chartplotters and sonar combination units with features for both saltwater and inland anglers and boaters. The new ECHOMAP Plus features powerful sonar capabilities, premium chart options and built-in Wi-Fi for access to the new Garmin ActiveCaptain marine app. The ECHOMAP Plus series comes preloaded with UK and Ireland charts with support for optional BlueChart g2 Vision HD charts with Auto Guidance, satellite imagery, 3-D perspectives and more.
 
Garmin also presented their new STRIKER Plus series of fish finders at the show. These upgraded fish finders are now packed with new features to help anglers find and catch more fish, and yet are as easy as ever to use.
