Easdale RIB Rendezvous
Now in its 15th year, the Indespension Easdale RIB Rendezvous is reputedly the largest RIB event in the UK, with up to 100 RIBs attending from far and wide. Whilst, as in previous years, a good number of participants will no doubt be making a week-long holiday out of their visit, the event itself is a two-day affair.
When is it happening?
Set to take place over the weekend of the 3rd & 4th of May.
What is the course?
Day one is set to feature a 95nm circumnavigation of Mull, with stop-offs at Tobermory, Staffa, and Iona, as well as the option of a shorter, 60nm cruise to either Loch Sunart or Erraid and Loch Buie. Day two will then see a shorter cruise planned around Lismore, with a late lunch at The Waypoint on Kerrera Island.
A special weekend
“Though coordinated as a ‘family cruise in company’-styled event to include a full itinerary of activity and hospitality, nevertheless, individual RIB skippers are ultimately responsible for their own safety and welfare,” explains event founder and organiser Tony Hill of Seafari Oban. “Nonetheless, whether one is a seasoned campaigner or a relative newcomer, there is so much help and support on hand. Plus, for all participants, it’s the opportunity of being amongst other like-minded ribsters that makes this weekend event so special.”
Indespension Trailers support
Hill continued, “Significantly, too, this year we are delighted to have the generous support of Indespension Trailers, who, in taking up title sponsorship of the 2025 event, will not only be displaying their trailers and be on hand to offer advice, but Rendezvous participants will also benefit from valuable trailer discount offers too.”
