Twisted Automotive, known globally for its highly bespoke, re-engineered Land Rover Defender has made quite an entrance into the marine world recently with the introduction of its maritime division, Twisted Marine.

Twisted Marine recently launched the T450 RIB; a 450hp 8.7m RIB, rigged and completed in its Salcombe-based facility. A craft based on the Cobra Nautique hull, with over 400 hours of bespoke assembly and fine-tuning, delivering class-leading performance, handling and quality.

To continue the development momentum, Twisted Marine is proud to announce the addition of two new models, the T200S and T300S.  These 22ft 200HP & 25ft 300HP sports boats are the result of an exciting new venture.

Twisted Marine is delighted to have secured the purchase of a limited number of Axopar 22 and 25 hulls to create an ultimate adventure craft, further growing the offering of custom, pedigree, Twisted edition hulls.  This brings together the skill set of a long-established, handcrafted, automotive adventure brand, known for building expedition and performance Land Rovers and the award-winning design of Nordic boat builder, Axopar Boats, known for spearheading adventure boating around the world.

The T300S will launch in late summer 2022 and feature a bespoke ground-up, in-house rigging program, custom Land Rover-inspired paint schemes, an adventure roof rack, suspension seating, improved engine setup, a custom Twisted interior and many other features to be announced soon.

Twisted founder Charles Fawcett commented on the venture “For Twisted to build upon the Axopar adventure story and add our own 20-year pedigree into this space, bringing the craftsmanship and fresh ideas that have made the business so successful to date is a cool prospect. The Axopar platform is a best in class, so to build upon this platform a vessel that compliments the Twisted Defender is going to be exciting and fits perfectly with our best made better ethos!”

A limited number of bespoke adventure vessels will be available from Twisted with sea trials available towards the end of September. Each hull arrives directly from Axopar’s factory as a bare boat with each craft then being tailored by our design team and rigged in-house at Twisted Marine’s Salcombe facility.
