Aimed at the small-boat sector, Simrad’s new Cruise range of chartplotters are big on features and low in price. In keeping with the current trend, they are very user-friendly and intuitive to use. Designed for straightforward navigation, Cruise features a simple, easy-to-use interface, a sunlight-viewable display, a mounting bracket and a sonar transducer. The range combines essential GPS features with basic depth-finding capability to deliver safe and reliable navigation. Free from complicated fishing-specific sonar and networking features, Cruise eliminates the need to master complex electronics.
The user interface is controlled with a rotary dial and keypad, ensuring smooth navigation through the menus, and provides all the information needed for any passage, including battery level and temperature information. Users can also choose from a wide range of mapping options, such as C-MAP and Navionics, including advanced features like C-MAP Easy Routing for a true automotive-like navigation experience. The included transducer provides CHIRP sonar with excellent automatic depth tracking, without the need for fine-tuning or preprogramming. Installation is easy, requiring only power and sonar cables.
The range is IPX7 waterproof rated, ideal for installation in open boats, and can be conveniently flush- or bracket-mounted. Available in 5in, 7in and 9in display sizes, the Simrad Cruise is competitively priced at £390, £520 and £750, respectively – subject to exchange rates.
