Flexiteek International is excited to announce its new generation of synthetic teak decking, Flexiteek 3, which has been shortlisted at the prestigious Dame Design Awards at Metstrade 2024.

Founded in 2000, Flexiteek set out to revolutionise the traditional marine decking market. The launch of Flexiteek 2G in 2014 established a new standard for synthetic decking with many market-leading and enhanced benefits.

Flexiteek 3 has been created to develop the performance and sustainability of Flexiteek decks and provide the appearance of real teak, with beautiful graining detail and colour options that mimic the natural aging process of teak.

The new third generation is their most sustainable decking yet, produced with bio-attributed PVC which is a renewable material that creates up to 80% less greenhouse gases than fossil-based PVC found in other products. It is also created with REACH-compliant phthalate-free plasticisers with a low migratory performance, and it is 100% recyclable after use. By using the latest technology and production processes, Flexiteek are striving to innovate and evolve to meet the future needs of boat owners and OEMs.

Tomas Gustafsson, CEO of Flexiteek International, commented, “We are excited to release Flexiteek 3, especially at a show as central to the marine industry as METSTRADE. Our new third generation offers enhanced durability, improved aesthetics, and greater sustainability, meeting the evolving needs of our customers and we are delighted to be shortlisted for the Dame Design Awards this year.”

Flexiteek 3 is available in five main colours: Teak, Scrubbed, Bleached, Weathered and the new Ash option. Also available are six dark wood colours of Walnut, Vintage and Charcoal, and monochrome colours of Grey, Carbon, and Off-White.
