Pantaenius UK has commissioned a custom 7.5-metre RIB, built by Island RIBs and powered by Yamaha and Raymarine, to serve as an event-ready support vessel throughout the 2025 season. Designed for versatility, it will host guests, provide media coverage, and support client interaction at boating events around the UK.
Built by Island RIBs for Performance and Reliability
The new RIB was constructed on the Isle of Wight by Island RIBs, known for their rugged offshore builds. It’s powered by a Yamaha F200 outboard engine, complete with the Helm Master EX system for precision control and ease of manoeuvring.
“We’re delighted to partner with Pantaenius UK and Island RIBs,” said Jonny Twelvetrees of Yamaha Motor Europe. “Their focus on quality and reliability matches ours perfectly.”
Equipped with Raymarine’s Latest Technology
Raymarine has outfitted the boat with advanced electronics, including the AXIOM 2 XL MFD, Quantum Doppler radar, AIS 700, and a FLIR M364C thermal/low-light camera. Raymarine’s YachtSense and YachtSense Link offer remote monitoring and digital switching.
“This collaboration was a natural fit,” said Richard Marsden, Raymarine UK Sales Manager. “The vessel will also be used for Raymarine’s own demos and product trials.”
Supporting Events and Clients Across the UK
The RIB will make its public debut at the British Classic Week Regatta in Cowes this July, where Pantaenius UK is a lead sponsor. More event appearances are planned across the UK in 2025, enabling the team to support clients and partners more directly.
A Practical, Sustainable Approach to Ownership
Pantaenius UK’s outgoing 8.8m Antares will continue to serve in Poland for community events. “We wanted a boat that’s reliable, capable and ready for anything,” said Simon Hedley of Pantaenius UK. “This new RIB allows us to support the industry in a more engaged, mobile way.”
