Shakespeare, experts in antenna design and in creating material solutions for today’s demanding manufacturing environment, donated more than £5,000 to several charities in January. Prior to that, in partnership with Lancashire Waste Recycling, Shakespeare recycled 22.34 tonnes of waste dating from May to December 2023.
The partnership has enabled Shakespeare to reduce recycling costs and improve their environmental impact due to producing less landfill waste. The savings made by the company have been donated to three different charities: the RNLI, the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside, and Trinity Hospice/Brian House.
Gary Walsh, General Manager at Shakespeare Marine, commented: ‘As a business, we are always striving to give back to the local community whenever possible as well as looking at how we can reduce our impact on the environment. We are delighted that we can combine these goals, and the money generated by our sustainability efforts can be put towards these great causes.’
