Biggest exhibition of green marine technology

Specifically designed for boat owners wishing to make the switch to greener options, the South Coast and Green Tech Boat Show boasts the UK’s largest display of eco-friendly boats and innovative green technologies and sustainable products.

Representing renowned electric brands such as Candela, Optima and RS Electric Boats, dealers and company representatives will be on hand throughout the show, ready to offer visitors expert advice on the eco-friendly options that are currently available, or under development, in the market.

Innovation Hub

To address the complexities of green marine technologies, in addition to the extensive range of eco-focused exhibitors, the 2024 show will once again incorporate an Innovation Hub.

Taking place on the live stage at the heart of the show will be an exciting roster of talks covering a wide variety of topics on sustainability and ocean preservation, delivered by industry experts at the cutting edge of clean marine technological innovation. This includes an expert-led panel discussion with Q&A’s focusing on the recycling and repurposing of boating equipment and gear.

MDL’s Green Innovator Award 2024

One of the show highlights is undoubtedly MDL’s Green Innovator Award. Now in its third year, the coveted award distinguishes products and services that are pioneering sustainability, innovation and design.

Aimed at projects from both start-ups and established companies, it highlights suppliers who are making a special effort towards environmentally sustainable practices and product development.

Nominations for MDL’s Green Innovator Award 2024 are open at www.mdlmarinas.co.uk/green-award/. The winner will be announced on Saturday 20 April during the show.

Ocean Youth Trust South

Tying up alongside for the duration of the show, Ocean Youth Trust South’s sail training vessel Prolific will be welcoming onboard visitors for refreshments, including tea, coffee and bacon butties. All proceeds will go to the OYT (South), one of MDL’s chosen charities, to help continue its valuable work in offering life-changing voyages to young people, often vulnerable or disadvantaged, aged 12-15 years.

Renegade Brewery will be making a welcome return to the show, supplying a great selection of craft beers, including MDL’s very own Nauti Buoy on draft. Also returning for 2024, Earth to Oven will be offering their locally sourced seasonal street food, as well as alcoholic and hot and cold beverages.
