Strategic Alliance for Sustainable Marine Innovation

Arksen, a leader in sustainable vessel design, has announced a strategic commercial partnership with RAD Propulsion, specialists in electric and autonomous marine systems. The collaboration, revealed on 26 August 2025 in London, unites advanced vessel architecture with next-generation propulsion and autonomy technologies.

Together, the companies aim to deliver a new class of clean, intelligent craft for leisure and commercial markets. This initiative represents a major step in decarbonising the marine industry while offering performance, reliability, and mission-specific adaptability.

Joint Development Projects Underway

The partnership launches with three development projects:

  • Inflatable eco-tourism and commercial craft using RAD Propulsion’s Power console, a cable-free helm system.
  • Next-generation RIB platform optimised for RAD’s latest electric drives.
  • Custom variants including autonomous patrol boats, tactical craft, and U.S. market pontoons.

These projects highlight the alliance’s adaptability across sectors, from eco-tourism to tactical operations.

We’re thrilled to join forces with RAD Propulsion, whose innovation in power and autonomy aligns perfectly with our mission to craft more sustainable, resilient marine systems.

Jasper Smith, Founder of Arksen

By integrating RAD Propulsion’s technology, the partnership will push the boundaries of what’s possible for electric-powered vessels in remote and challenging environments, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels.

Agile Approach to Market

The alliance is built around a lean, innovation-led model. A joint working group will run monthly development sprints, prototyping, and go-to-market strategies. With at least three projects active at all times, the companies can respond quickly to market opportunities while keeping capital requirements low.

By combining design excellence, propulsion expertise, and a shared commitment to environmental responsibility, Arksen and RAD Propulsion are positioning themselves at the forefront of next-generation marine innovation.
