A New Era in Yacht Innovation

Azimut Yacht has launched “Neuron”, its first fully digital yacht management system, designed to transform the onboard experience through intuitive control, safety, and efficiency.

Unveiled in Avigliana on 29 August 2025, Neuron represents a milestone in Azimut’s commitment to innovation. Developed in partnership with MDP Tech, the system combines yacht automation, diagnostics, and surveillance in one seamless platform, accessible via app or remotely.

Smarter Living Onboard

Neuron allows owners to control key systems including lighting, climate, and entertainment, either onboard or from shore. Its remote diagnostics reduce routine and extraordinary maintenance by up to 70%. When required, owners can activate smart assistance, giving Azimut technicians direct access to resolve issues quickly while respecting privacy.

This remote capability means software updates, system resets, or troubleshooting can be carried out instantly, minimising downtime and avoiding the need for on-site intervention.

Built for Reliability and Efficiency

The Neuron system has been designed with a plug-and-play philosophy. Components such as control units can be swapped rapidly, ensuring fast recovery from potential failures. Risk analysis during development further enhances reliability both at sea and in port.

Additional benefits include a 50% reduction in wiring weight, freeing space for other onboard uses, and advanced power management that adjusts consumption precisely to demand. Together, these features improve efficiency and increase overall vessel reliability.

From Trial to Standard

Neuron has completed six months of experimental testing aboard an Azimut Fly 53 and is now entering final verification before becoming standard across Azimut yachts up to 80 feet.

“Neuron is a useful, practical innovation,” said Ruggero Gandolfi, Azimut’s Technical Director. “It enhances life onboard, enables remote monitoring, and reduces unscheduled maintenance, while ensuring greater reliability.”
