Bull Run for Fun 2026 confirmed due to popular demand

The ‘Bull Run for Fun 2026’ is back! Thanks to public demand, the ‘Bull Run for Fun 2026’ powerboat weekend is back again for another year. This year’s event will be held at the beautiful waterside setting of Dromquinna Manor, Kenmare, Co. Kerry, on Saturday the 18th of July and its organisers state that this long-standing family-styled event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Cruising Kenmare Bay and the wild Atlantic

The ‘Bull Run for Fun’, which began life back in 2009 and is now in its 17th year, is a family-styled event for like-minded boat owners that offers the wonderful opportunity of cruising in company through the majestic waters of the mountain-flanked Kenmare Bay, before then heading out into the wild Atlantic to the mighty and awe-inspiring Bull Rock with its 80ft high stone arch.

From there, if time and weather allow, the plan will be to explore the Cow and Calf Islands, with the possibility too, of running the extra 12 nautical miles to witness the towering, fairytale-like, Skellig Islands.

Special guest speaker and open invitation

Joining the party as special guest speaker on the evening of Friday the 17th will be PBR Editor, Hugo Montgomery-Swan, a man with a lifetime of offshore experience under his belt – having circumnavigated Ireland, Scotland and the UK multiple times aboard small RIBs and written the much-acclaimed Heavy Weather Powerboating, as well as being a key contributor to three consecutive editions of Heavy Weather Sailing.

The invitation is an open one to everyone who would like to enjoy the company of like-minded boaters, along with the opportunity of cruising in company to witness some of the most breathtaking coastal sights found in Northern Europe.
