A Historic Year for the Cannes Yachting Festival

The 48th Cannes Yachting Festival, held from 9–14 September 2025, marked a record year for Europe’s leading on-water boat show. The event attracted 56,000 visitors – a 2% rise from 2024 – and featured 711 boats, 677 exhibitors and an impressive 181 world premieres. PBR featured as an official media sponsor of the 2025 event.

Set across the Vieux Port and Port Canto, the festival showcased a vast range of vessels, from motor yachts and catamarans to superyachts and sailing craft. The layout encouraged a seamless visitor journey, reflecting Cannes’ ongoing efforts to refine sectorisation for clarity and flow.

Festival Director Sylvie Ernoult, overseeing her final edition before handing over to Constance Brément, described the event as “one of the most ambitious and accomplished,” praising exhibitors for their commitment despite global economic challenges.

Expanded Exhibits and Enhanced Visitor Experience

The Vieux Port displayed 358 new motor yachts, 75 superyachts and a dedicated Power Cat Village featuring 24 catamarans. Port Canto mirrored the scale with 353 vessels, including 128 sailing yachts and over 180 small powerboats in the expanding Power Boat Marina. The Broker & Toys area showcased 45 pre-owned yachts over 25 metres, with live water-toy demonstrations adding vibrancy to the show.

Improved sea shuttle services linked both venues every 15 minutes, earning high praise for convenience and efficiency.

Innovation and Environmental Leadership

The Innovation Route, introduced in 2024, returned stronger with 42 eco-focused projects chosen from 120 entries. The Innovation Route Awards celebrated five winners, including SEA.AI’s Watchkeeper and Benetti’s B.Yond 37M, highlighting the industry’s ongoing shift toward sustainability.

A New Chapter

Cannes 2025 also marked a symbolic transition. With Ernoult stepping down and Brément assuming leadership, the show moves forward with renewed vision, strong partnerships and growing international recognition.
