Flexiteek Among Top 15% for Global Sustainability

Flexiteek International has been recognised with a Silver EcoVadis rating for 2025–2026, placing the company in the top 15% of businesses globally for sustainability performance.

The global synthetic decking specialist was acknowledged for its continuous improvements to business processes and environmentally responsible product innovation. Key to this progress was the launch of its bio-attributed Flexiteek 3 decking range, introduced at Metstrade in November 2024.

What Is the EcoVadis Rating?

EcoVadis is a globally respected independent platform that evaluates companies across four pillars: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The Silver rating awarded to Flexiteek reflects robust performance in these areas, providing third-party validation of the company’s evolving practices.

This achievement reflects the strength of our evolving sustainability management system and product range, and our ongoing commitment to transparency and responsible business practices across the company. But we still have a way to go on our journey, and we are confident we will continue to strive for excellence.

Ongoing Environmental Initiatives

Flexiteek has implemented a range of sustainability measures, including recycling over 80% of water used in its product cooling process and repurposing waste materials. Its Swedish facility in Fagersta uses ground source heat pumps and solar panels with energy storage, alongside EV chargers and energy-saving lighting. The company also partners with responsible energy suppliers.

Part of a Broader Industry Movement

Flexiteek began its EcoVadis journey in 2023 as part of a broader commitment to transparent and sustainable supply chain practices in the marine sector. EcoVadis has assessed over 130,000 companies across 180+ countries, making it one of the most trusted sustainability rating providers worldwide.
