Greenline 42: First running shots and full details revealed

Greenline Yachts has released the first running shots and full details of its new Greenline 42, following the model’s unveiling before a large crowd at boot Düsseldorf in January.

The yacht retains the recognisable Greenline profile, with an elegant S-shaped sheerline, extensive 360-degree glazing and a streamlined roof. Developed with owner feedback, the design focuses on improved cockpit space, higher speeds under power and a more contemporary style.

Contemporary design by Marco Casali

The Greenline 42 continues the brand’s collaboration with designer Marco Casali, who previously worked on the larger Greenline 58. The new model introduces features such as a foredeck lounge while refining both exterior styling and onboard living spaces.

New models are rare occurrences at Greenline Yachts, because we pride ourselves on the longevity of our designs. We started by collecting feedback from our owners and, when we looked at their experiences, a few things became clear. They wanted more cockpit space for relaxing, higher speeds under power and a more modern design language. The new Greenline 42 supplies all that and more.

Flexible living spaces

The redesigned cockpit provides space for a four-person table with sofa seating, with optional layouts including a drop-down aft platform and additional lounging space.

Sliding galley windows and fully opening aft doors connect the saloon and cockpit, creating a continuous indoor-outdoor living area. The galley includes an electric oven, double induction hob, optional extra refrigeration and 400-litre freshwater tanks.

Hybrid power and solar energy

Ten solar panels on the coachroof generate up to 4.5kW of energy, feeding a 22kWh house battery bank that can be expanded to 66kWh.

Greenline’s H-Drive 6G hybrid system places 23kW electric motors between the diesel engines and propellers, enabling silent cruising up to 6.5 knots while harvesting energy during diesel operation.

The yacht can also be equipped with twin 250hp Yanmar engines, delivering a top speed of 25 knots thanks to a new hull developed by naval architects Micad.
