New marina office opens at Hamble Point

MDL Marinas has opened a newly redesigned marina office at Hamble Point Marina, marking a key milestone in a £1.2m investment programme currently underway across the site. The new office forms part of wider improvements, following the completion of upgraded customer facilities earlier this year.

At the heart of the redevelopment is a fully integrated hub bringing the marina office, new toilets and showers together under one roof. Replacing the former standalone facilities block, the combined space provides berth holders and visitors with convenient 24/7 access.

Designed with customer experience in mind, the new marina office offers a bright and welcoming environment. A navigation-inspired feature wall highlights popular cruising destinations, while illuminated fascia signage improves visibility and wayfinding after dark. Comfortable soft furnishings supplied by Evocean create a relaxed reception space, complemented by photography from local artist Neil Williams. The new Galley Store also provides access to essential provisions and freshly ground Lavazza coffee.

Investment in modern facilities

The team and I are thrilled to see the new office and facilities open. A special thank you goes to Zander Ozelton, our Property and Estates Project Manager, whose hard work and oversight were instrumental in the successful delivery of the redevelopment.

Everything has been designed to make life easier and more enjoyable for our berth holders and visitors, from the improved layout to the modern finishes throughout. The addition of the Galley Store and the new customer-focused space really elevates the experience here at Hamble Point.

The new toilets and showers form part of a dedicated £500,000 upgrade, featuring individual cubicles, family-friendly spaces and accessible facilities. PIR operated lighting and ventilation systems help reduce energy consumption, while eco-friendly hand and shower wash from Miniml Refills supports MDL’s sustainability ambitions.

Enhancing the marina experience

The development sits within MDL’s wider investment at Hamble Point Marina, which has also delivered resurfaced roadways, upgraded parking, improved waste management and enhanced security. Located at the mouth of the River Hamble with direct access to the Solent, the marina remains one of MDL’s most popular destinations.
