The sailing collection from Henri-Lloyd features styles for both men and women, from everyday practical and technical UV protective T-shirts and long-sleeve T’s, to four-way stretch water-resistant shorts and trousers, stylish and smart linen Oxford shirts, and highly advanced feature-rich technical offshore sailing clothing designed to keep people safe and dry in all conditions, no matter how extreme.
Alongside the extensive Henri-Lloyd displays, the store also features clothing from sister brands ODLO, the world’s largest manufacturer of base layers for everyday, sports and watersports wear, and Janus, which manufactures wool clothing and base layers. All three companies are part of the Monte Rosa Sports Group which acquired Henri-Lloyd in 2022.
The brand-new Henri-Lloyd store launched with a private party featuring live entertainment from the America’s Cup and Norwegian Offshore Elite Sailing Teams. The store officially opened to the public on 24th May.
Executive Chairman Knut Frostad said: “I am truly excited bringing the Henri-Lloyd brand to Norway and showcasing it in an exclusive flagship store in the heart of Oslo. Traditionally, Henri-Lloyd has always had a large following in Norway, a country where outdoors activity on and off the water is such an integral part of people’s lives.”
Always leading with innovation, the new Henri-Lloyd sailing collection has included cutting-edge technical and sustainable features in the new range, such as advanced alternative materials that provide extreme and durable waterproofing without the use of chemicals, materials made from recycled bottles and packaging that is home compostable.
Originally set up in the UK by founder and visionary Henri Strzelecki in 1963 – who originated from a village in Poland and where Henri-Lloyd still has a manufacturing facility – Henri-Lloyd is well known worldwide and already has five retail stores in the UK. The flagship store in Oslo is its first exclusive store in mainland Europe.
