Lakeland Leisure Estates Ltd have announced the acquisition of the freehold interest in Deganwy Marina from the Crown Estate, thereby adding a fourth marina to their growing leisure portfolio.
Deganwy Marina forms part of a prestigious development built in 2004 on the Conwy Estuary in North Wales. The fully equipped marina offers 165 berths along with hardstanding, car parking and toilets, along with showers and laundry facilities in the marina building. In June 2015 it was awarded a 5 Gold Anchor rating by the Yacht Harbour Association.
While owned by the Crown Estate, Deganwy Marina has been leased to and managed by Quay Marinas Limited, a multiple-marina operator. Upon the expiry of the lease on 31st March 2018, Lakeland Leisure Estates will assume responsibility for the management and operation of the business.
