MDL Marinas has launched a new initiative to celebrate UK cruising in 2025. Dubbed Dock & Discover, the campaign encourages boaters to explore MDL’s network of 18 marinas around the UK, earning rewards for each overnight stay.
Running through to the end of September 2025, Dock & Discover is designed to make summer cruising more rewarding. With domestic boating on the rise—78% of UK adults are planning overnight stays in Britain this year, according to VisitBritain—the campaign offers added incentive to cruise closer to home.
MDL’s marina network stretches from the South West to the Thames and East Coast, giving boaters a wide variety of destinations. To join the campaign, boaters simply need to register for MDL’s free Otium loyalty programme. Participants will receive an Explorer’s Card, stamped at each marina visited. These stamps unlock tiered rewards, including:
“Dock & Discover is designed to give our berth holders and visitors an added reason to cast off and cruise,” says Tim Mayer, MDL’s Sales and Marketing Director. “It’s about celebrating the best of UK cruising and helping boaters get even more from their time on the water.”
This campaign gives boaters an engaging reason to explore Britain’s waters, with the added bonus of exclusive prizes along the way.

Northney Marina, part of MDL Marinas, has enhanced its lifting capabilities with a new 35-ton Marine hoist, following a £400,000 investment. The powerful equipment enables safe handling of larger vessels, improving efficiency and service. Marina Manager Tom Ward calls it a “game-changer” for both operations and customer experience.
To celebrate, MDL has launched Summer Scrub offers across selected marinas, with up to 30% off lift and wash services. Options include a basic lift, wash and relaunch, or a week ashore for extended maintenance.
