Cruisers Yachts Launches the All-New VTR Fleet
Cruisers Yachts launches the VTR fleet, blending rugged performance, yacht-level craftsmanship, and innovative design across two versatile 38-foot models.
Island RIBs has announced the launch of its new Island 6.8m model, which will debut at Cowes Yacht Haven on 16 April at 12:00. The event will include on-water demonstrations and the opportunity to meet the team behind the vessel.
Built entirely in-house at the company’s Cowes facility, the Island 6.8m is a new design developed from the ground up. Slightly narrower than the existing 7.5m model, the 6.8m features a sea-kind hull optimised for performance with lower horsepower. The design includes a walkaround console with full-height windscreen, a spacious bow locker and a moulded splashwell that increases storage and structural rigidity.
Cowes Sailability Club has selected the Island 6.8m as its new safety boat. Pantaenius UK is covering the first year of insurance for the charity’s new RIB and will be present at the launch event, towing the boat in a branded vehicle ahead of its handover. The boat will support the Cowes Sailability Club mission of making sailing accessible for people with disabilities.
The 6.8m model follows the company’s 10m RIB and continues Island RIBs’ tradition of producing robust, easily maintained vessels used by commercial, leisure and government organisations. Clients include Williams Shipping, the National Crime Agency, the British Antarctic Survey and Falklands Conservation.
Island RIBs and Pantaenius UK are continuing their partnership with a forthcoming collaborative project to be revealed later this year.
