Palm Beach GT60 Jet Drive Sets Custom-Built Standard

Palm Beach Motor Yachts has launched its latest creation—the Palm Beach GT60 Jet Drive—tailor-made for a long-time customer in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The project embodies the brand’s hallmark of personalised luxury and showcases its first-ever integration of Hamilton Jet Drive propulsion within the acclaimed GT Series.

Designed through a close collaboration between CEO and Chief Designer Mark Richards and the customer, the GT60 reflects specific requests including shallow-water jet drives to navigate Maine’s lobster trap-laden waters and a layout built for entertaining family and friends. It marks the third Palm Beach yacht for the client, further underlining the brand’s dedication to repeat custom and long-term owner relationships.

Powered by twin 1,000hp Volvo Penta D13 engines and Hamilton HJ403 waterjets, the GT60 Jet Drive cruises comfortably at 35 knots. The propulsion package not only delivers swift acceleration and reduced noise but also benefits from a minimal 2’9″ draft—ideal for coastal cruising and exploring shallows. Integrated with Hamilton’s AVX controls, the system offers both performance and precise handling.

This propulsion setup is seamlessly matched to the brand’s V-Warp® Technology platform. Built with carbon fibre and vinylester using resin infusion techniques, the hull requires no redesign regardless of drive configuration—whether jet, shaft, IPS or outboard. This allows clients to choose their ideal system without compromise to hull efficiency or ride quality.
