In a project representing a £480,000 investment, Premier Marinas are planning to revitalise Port Solent Marina’s infrastructure to allow the marina to accommodate bigger boats by the 2018 season.
The project includes reconfiguring pontoons A–D and the plan is to provide berths that will make Port Solent into a marina that can host boats from 6.5m up to 33m. Additionally, this reconfiguration work will provide the opportunity for wider fairways and the renewal of pontoons and walkways. The works will begin early in 2018 in preparation for the new season.
The Port Solent project is part of a major investment of £11m by Premier in their marinas over the coming 12 months. The company owns and operates nine marinas spanning the south coast and is part of The Wellcome Trust, a global charitable foundation with a diverse portfolio of companies.
