Twin-engine Quarken 27

The Quarken Boats 27 range gains a significant new propulsion option with the world premiere of a twin-engine installation, unveiled at boot Düsseldorf 2026. Shown for the first time the Quarken 27 T-Top fitted with twin Yamaha 150 hp outboards, paired with Yamaha’s Helm Master and autopilot system.

This long-awaited upgrade is designed to enhance safety, control, and confidence on the water. Twin engines deliver precise handling and exceptional manoeuvrability, with docking simplified as the skipper can operate the boat primarily through throttle input. Acceleration is brisk, top speed is reached more quickly than with a single installation, and load distribution across the hull improves stability and comfort, particularly in rough conditions.

Helm Master control and docking confidence

The twin installation can be specified with Yamaha’s Helm Master and autopilot system, featuring a joystick that allows accurate manoeuvring in tight marina spaces. The system enables sideways movement and on-the-spot rotation for precise control. Linked to a variable-speed bow thruster, it further enhances manoeuvrability and makes single-handed docking straightforward.

The Quarken 27 fleet explained

The Quarken 27 range is offered in Open, T-Top, and Cabin versions. Open and T-Top models are available with a Version 2 layout focused on social spaces, seating for up to nine people, rotating helm seats, a flexible aft cockpit arrangement, and a wet bar with hand basin, storage, and bin.

The Quarken 27 Cabin is positioned as a versatile all-rounder with a bright panoramic saloon, sliding glass doors to the aft deck, adaptable seating, and a fore cabin with a double berth, suited to commuting and weekend cruising.

The 27 T-Top combines sun protection, modular deck layouts, and an ergonomically designed helm, while the 27 Open focuses on open-air boating with convertible seating and sun-lounging options.

Founded in 2021, Quarken builds boats from 27 to 35 feet, with plans to extend beyond 40 feet, focusing on clean Nordic design, modular solutions, and Yamaha outboard power.
