Raymarine has announced a new integration between its Axiom chartplotters and the Orca navigation app, offering boaters real-time route sharing across devices. This feature allows routes planned on the Orca app to be wirelessly synchronised with Raymarine Axiom units.
With the app’s intuitive interface and instant routing capability, users can quickly create optimal routes by selecting a start point and destination. Orca’s intelligent algorithms then calculate the best path, tailored to the vessel’s specific parameters.
To use the new feature, Axiom users must update their devices to LightHouse 4.9.366, the latest version of Raymarine’s operating system. The update is available for free via the Raymarine website.
The Orca app, free for both iOS and Android devices, enables seamless planning on smartphones or tablets, now directly linked to Raymarine Axiom units. Version 2025.5.1 or later of the Orca app is required to activate this functionality.
Michelle Hildyard, Vice President of Operations at Raymarine, commented: “The combination of Raymarine’s cutting-edge Axiom chartplotters and Orca’s user-friendly routing system simplifies trip planning and enhances peace of mind for boaters.”
This latest feature is designed to reduce pre-departure stress and improve the overall on-water experience by making navigation more connected and accessible.
