Scanstrut Ventura Series Wins iF Design Award 2026

Scanstrut has received the internationally recognised iF Design Award 2026 for its Ventura Series, highlighting the product line for its approach to integrated exterior utility design.

Presented by the independent iF Design Foundation, the award is widely regarded as a benchmark for design innovation. The Ventura Series was recognised in the Product Design discipline within the Automobiles category, reflecting its engineering approach, OEM integration and cohesive exterior styling.

The achievement places Scanstrut among an international field of recognised manufacturers. Fellow 2026 award recipients included Ferrari, Volvo, Thule, Nissan and Mazda.

The iF Design Award jury selected the Ventura Series from more than 10,000 submissions representing 68 countries. The judging panel comprised 129 independent design experts who assessed entries for innovation, functionality and aesthetic quality.

The Ventura Series draws heavily on Scanstrut’s marine engineering background. Designed for demanding environments, the system incorporates IP68 and IP69K waterproof protection, marine grade 316 stainless steel hardware and UV resistant materials.

These specifications allow the products to perform in challenging marine settings, including RIBs, centre console boats and cruising yachts.

Originally developed for the RV, overland and van conversion sectors, the Ventura Series provides a modular portfolio of compact exterior utility sockets. These include 12V power, USB-C charging, solar inputs, water outlets, TV connections and AC power interfaces.

All components are engineered within a consistent low profile form factor intended to simplify integration and maintain a uniform exterior appearance.

By transferring marine engineering principles into adjacent outdoor sectors, the Ventura Series illustrates how design solutions can move between automotive and marine markets while maintaining durability and visual consistency.

Winning the iF Design Award 2026 highlights the Ventura Series as a notable example of crossover product design within the outdoor technology sector.
