Simrad releases NEON 2.3 software update

Simrad Marine Electronics has released its 2.3 software update, delivering exclusive Lenco Pro Control integration to select Simrad multifunction displays powered by the NEON operating system. The update applies to the NSX, NSX ULTRAWIDE and NSS 4 ranges and is available now.

Announced on January 21, 2026, the update reinforces Simrad’s focus on simplicity and intuitive helm control. The NEON platform is designed to make advanced onboard systems easier to use, and the new integration brings Lenco Pro Control Auto and Assist directly onto the display interface.

Automatic levelling with Pro Control Auto

Lenco Pro Control Auto provides continuous automatic levelling by adjusting trim tabs to counteract weight changes and varying sea conditions. This allows passengers to remain level while the helm benefits from hands-free stability management.

According to Simrad, the system delivers a 74% improvement in auto-levelling performance and achieves results 25% better than the leading interceptor brand. Additional benefits include near-instant trim adjustments through a refined control algorithm, faster hole-shot performance for improved visibility, and a 24% reduction in re-entry impact for a smoother ride.

Integrated manual control options

For operators who prefer hands-on adjustment, Pro Control Assist is also fully integrated into compatible Simrad displays. This allows trim tabs to be controlled directly from the screen, offering greater flexibility in helm layout. Physical keypads can be installed in alternative locations or removed entirely to achieve a cleaner dash design.
