Nordkapp Enduro 830 claims boot Dusseldorf award
Nordkapp’s Enduro 830 claims top honours at the 2026 Motorboat Awards in Dusseldorf, securing Best Sportsboats up to 30ft.
STERK Yachts has finalised internal hull modifications to accommodate Vision Marine Technologies’ EMotion™ 180E electric propulsion system. The development is a key milestone under the companies’ exclusive supply agreement and paves the way for fully-electric, high-performance boat models.
The redesigned internal structure of STERK vessels supports flexible battery configurations, ranging from three to four high-voltage packs. These can be adapted for both single and dual outboard setups. The optimisation is intended to streamline integration of Vision Marine’s industrial-grade electric powertrain, which is aimed at the premium boat market.
The project marks the first phase of a broader collaboration, with system integration and sea trials scheduled in the coming month. Certification and commercial launch are expected to follow.
“This purpose-built hull design confirms the scalability and commercial readiness of our E-Motion™ platform,” said Alexandre Mongeon, CEO of Vision Marine. “It’s a strong execution of our partnership with STERK.”
Milan Sterk, Managing Partner of STERK Yachts, added, “Our vessels will retain STERK’s quality and performance benchmarks while adopting the most advanced electric systems available.”
Vision Marine Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: VMAR) is a Canada-based manufacturer of electric outboards and marine propulsion systems. STERK Yachts is a German boatbuilder focused on performance and sustainability through advanced engineering.
