A New Chapter for Wellcraft

Wellcraft is expanding its high-performance offshore range with the launch of a new 28-foot model, marking a strategic move into the dynamic dayboating segment. Following the success of its larger siblings — the 38 Explorer, 44 Explorer, and 38 T-Top — this latest addition targets a broader audience of both casual boaters and committed adventurers.

The new Wellcraft 28 will make its public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025, with its official world premiere at boot Düsseldorf in January 2026, and its North American launch at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026.

Made to Explore Together

Designed for shared experiences, the 8.56m model prioritises social connection with a layout optimised for friends and family. Its class-leading seating capacity, configurable aft cockpit, and easy water access create a versatile space suited to fishing, watersports or relaxing.

A small overnight cabin adds to the boat’s all-day and all-weather capability, allowing users to stay out longer and explore further — together.

Signature Performance and Build Innovation

Wellcraft state that their legacy, the new 28-footer delivers a “responsive, exhilarating ride”. At its core is the brand’s W.I.S.E. (Wellcraft Infujection Structure Engineering) technology — an advanced infusion and injection construction method producing lighter, stiffer, and faster hulls. The result is improved seakeeping, reduced noise, and better fuel efficiency thanks to a twin-stepped hull that enables quick planing and enhanced performance.

Designed for Confidence at Sea

Built to withstand challenging offshore conditions, the model features high freeboards for a drier deck, oversized handrails for safety, and adaptable protection via multiple windshield and roof options. Its bold Z-shaped profile carries the distinct visual identity of the Wellcraft fleet.

Wellcraft intend for the new 28 to mark the beginning of a new, more accessible era for their American brand — one built on connection, confidence, and a passion for purposeful exploration.
