A Bold Trio for 2026

Wellcraft has introduced three new 28-foot models designed to deliver versatility, performance, and exploration. The Wellcraft 28 Speedster, 28 T-Top, and 28 Explorer share the same advanced stepped hull, created in partnership with Helsinki-based specialist Navia, but each vessel offers a distinct personality.

The 28 T-Top and 28 Explorer will make their World Premiere at boot Düsseldorf 2026, while the 28 T-Top will have its North American debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026.

Designed Around Lifestyle

The new line reimagines the aft cockpit as the centre of life on board, with four distinct configurations to suit different boating lifestyles.

  • Lounge – Standard layout seating up to 13, including nine forward-facing seats for safety at speed.
  • Barracuda – Fishing-focused with live well, fish box, bait drawers, and rod holders.
  • Relax – Available on the Speedster and T-Top, featuring a large sunbed, hidden storage, and extra seating.
  • Sleeper – Exclusive to the Explorer, adding overnight accommodation for two with exterior lounging space.

This flexibility makes the 28-foot range adaptable to social cruising, sport fishing, sunbathing, or extended trips.

Performance and Engineering

Built with Wellcraft Infujection Structure Engineering (W.I.S.E.), each hull and stringer is moulded as one, creating a lighter, stronger, and stiffer platform with reduced environmental impact. The Navia-stepped hull design ensures rapid planing, efficient fuel use, and confident handling in rough seas. Powered by single or twin outboards, the new models can exceed 50 knots while retaining stability and efficiency.

Safety and Confidence

Practical design ensures safety across the range. Features include a closed transom, high bulwarks, oversized handrails, forward-facing seats, distinctive rubrails, and a side dive door. A one-level walkaround deck enhances movement, while the T-Top model offers High or Sport windscreen options.

Together, the Wellcraft 28 Speedster, 28 T-Top, and 28 Explorer combine American strength, European style, and global appeal, marking the start of a versatile new chapter for the brand.
