Two New Models Join for 2026

Yamaha Motor Europe has confirmed the arrival of two new Super High Output (SHO) outboards – the Yamaha V MAX SHO 250hp and V MAX SHO 200hp – set to launch for the 2026 season. These engines, already known internationally for their uncompromising performance, will be available to order in Europe from Q4 2025.

Power and Performance

Both models are built on Yamaha’s proven 4.2-litre V6 platform, designed for explosive acceleration and torque. With lightweight engineering and a compact footprint, the engines are suited to performance-driven boating and water sports, from competitive fishing to high-speed recreational use.

Plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders reduce weight while improving durability, giving the engines impressive power-to-weight ratios. This translates to quicker launches, sharper cornering and better lift when driving hard across open water.

Key Features

✔ Super High Output V6 4.2L design – tuned for rapid throttle response and racing-grade acceleration.

✔ Lightweight and compact – Yamaha engineering ensures agility and handling.

✔ Power Trim & Tilt with TotalTilt™ – easy tilt up or down with a double-tap.

✔ 70 A alternator – reliable power for onboard electronics such as fish finders and pumps.

✔ Electronic Fuel Injection – crisp throttle response and strong efficiency.

✔ DOHC, 24 valves and TCI ignition – efficient airflow, combustion and reliability.

✔ Quiet running – refined tuning reduces vibration and noise.

✔ V MAX SHO styling – bold graphics and performance-inspired cowling design.

Built for Thrill and Reliability

According to Fabrice Lacoume, Marine Director at Yamaha Motor Europe, these new models extend Yamaha’s legacy of quality and reliability while offering “race-inspired performance with ultimate practicality.”

The V MAX SHO 250hp and 200hp are designed for boaters seeking acceleration, excitement and Yamaha’s proven engineering.
