The Northern Boat Show is returning for the second year to Liverpool’s Waterfront on 3-5 June and thanks to its popularity in 2015, this year’s show will see quadruple the number of boats on display. It covers all aspects of the leisure marine industry and there will be displays of power boats, cruisers, narrow boats, and sail boats and features some of the biggest brands in the marine world such as Bavaria, Beneteau and MasterCraft.

Richard Milbourn, Director of the Northern Boat Show said, “Being part of the International Mersey River Festival and being able to showcase boats in Liverpool with its world-renowned waterfront and maritime heritage gave the Northern Boat Show a real buzz and numerous attractions for visitors. Exhibitors were delighted with the quantity and quality of visitors which has been reflected in virtually all the exhibitors re-booking for this year’s Show.

“We’re very excited this year to be taking over nearly the whole of Salthouse Dock to accommodate the glut of boat bookings already confirmed. Most importantly, it combines the best of all boat shows by having the land-based exhibition on the quayside overlooking the boats in the water with the added advantage of city centre facilities on its doorstep.”

The first Northern Boat Show launched in Liverpool last June, at the heart of the International Mersey River Festival, was an outstanding success with over 200,000 visitors. This year’s Festival will play host to a range of visiting boats and nautical themed events, from The British ThunderCat Racing Tour, Industry Pro Wakeboard Tour, Daniel Adamson first view, 60 narrow boats (as part of the Eldonian Village Canal Festival which celebrates 200 years of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal), four Tall Ships, the International Canoe Polo Tournament, jet skiing demonstrations, Zap Cats, have-a-go water sports sessions at Salthouse Dock, flyboarding and thrillingly heart-stopping Yakovlevs air display, as well as live music on Liverpoool’s Pier Head presenting a host of local and international talent.

Last year’s exhibitors that are already returning with the following boat brands include Bavaria, Beneteau, Dufour Yachts, Character Boats, Hanse, Highfield, Jeanneau and Viking who will be joined by new boat brands such as Chaparral, David Moss Boatbuilders, Fairline, Four Winns, MasterCraft Boats UK, Parker, Pirate, Robalo, Rodman, Sealine and Swallow Yachts. Other associated marine exhibitors include Adidas Sailing, AGlaze, Amateur Yacht Research Society, Black Bear Boating, Boatshed Lancashire, Caldwell Windows, Conwy Quays Marina, Cruising Association, IBTC, James Troop Volvo, Jeckells Sails, Nautical 3D Charts, Nisos Ionian Yacht Charter, Pantaenius, Pieroth, Quays Marina, River Canal Rescue, Sail Ionian, Sail Scotland, Towergate Insurance, Visit Derry, Whitehaven Marina and WiFi Onboard.
