Windermere unveils new sustainable GT Mono Light class
Windermere’s third sustainable race day introduced a new national class and underlined growing momentum behind lower-carbon powerboat racing.

Yanmar Marine International Asia have announced the launch of the Yanmar CX570, a new crossover yacht combining functionality and luxury.
Designed for both fishing and cruising, the Yanmar CX570 offers semi-customisable exterior options and various interior layouts. It combines features from Yanmar’s EX Series fishing cruisers and the X47 Express Cruiser, delivering a multi-purpose platform suitable for marine leisure and family use.
The yacht’s design includes a spacious deck, flybridge and swim platform. Interiors reflect a Japanese Modern style, featuring two suite cabins, a lounge and a kitchen, complemented by Italian materials. With a maximum capacity of 15 guests, the living space includes 2,000mm interior headroom and three cabins across a 4.8-metre beam.
Powered by twin YANMAR 6LT640 clean diesel engines, the CX570 is also compatible with advanced vessel-handling support systems, enhancing manoeuvrability and comfort at sea.
Yanmar exhibited the CX570 at the Japan International Boat Show 2025 in Yokohama from 20–23 March. Visitors viewed a 1/20 scale model and experienced a VR walkthrough of the vessel.
The CX570 is CE Cat. B certified and features twin 1,400-litre fuel tanks, a 560-litre freshwater tank and two onboard heads.
Orders for the 17.44-metre vessel are being scheduled to open in autumn 2025.
