Electric-Outboard.co.uk, based in Lymington, has been appointed exclusive UK distributor for the Momentum Electric Marine range of electric outboards, batteries and accessories. The brand’s flagship model, the M10, is now available in the UK and promises to redefine expectations of compact electric propulsion.

Designed in Singapore, the Momentum M10, the maker’s claim, is the lightest 10kW (15hp equivalent) electric outboard package currently on the market. With a total system weight of 65kg—including motor, bracket, and battery—it is fully portable and ideal for smaller boats and tenders.
Electric Outboard founder Algie Bennett describes the M10 as “a game-changer”, citing instant torque that delivers acceleration comparable to a 25hp petrol outboard. Test runs on boats such as the Highfield 310 and Rigiflex 360 achieved 15–16 knots with two passengers and gear on board.
With a tiller-steered version weighing just 22kg, plus a 6kg transom bracket and 37kg MB6 battery, the M10 is designed for true grab-and-go convenience. No tools are required—just clamp the bracket, slide on the motor, connect the single power/data cable and go.
Usability is a clear priority. The MB6 battery offers class-leading power density and fits easily in a standard fuel locker. Safety is also addressed with features like a tiller-end safety button to prevent accidental reverse or high-power starts, and a built-in limiter allowing only 25% power unless the safety button is engaged.
Naval architect and Momentum co-founder JC Lew says the UK partnership is a natural fit: “Together with Electric Outboard’s hands-on experience, we can provide innovative and accessible electric solutions for UK boaters.”
The M10 comes in both short and long shaft versions, with optional remote steering and throttle controls.
Electric-Outboard.co.uk will be offering live demonstrations of the M10 at Seawork 2025 (10–12 June, Southampton) and again at the Southampton International Boat Show in September.
