Windermere unveils new sustainable GT Mono Light class
Windermere’s third sustainable race day introduced a new national class and underlined growing momentum behind lower-carbon powerboat racing.
Selva Marine chose the 50th Southampton Boat Show for their first European product launch in advance of the 2019 season. The new Selva Guppy F2.5hp 4-stroke outboard is lighter, yet more powerful, than its predecessor, and enjoys greater torque from over 50% more c.c.
The outboard has a slimmer leg for smoother flow through the water and less weight overall for easy portability. Additional refinements include capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) for enhanced cold starting and, as with many other outboards in the extensive Selva range, it features a practical shallow-water drive as well as 360-degree drive shaft rotation for precise handling.
The F2.5 Guppy is available only in short shaft length, making it suitable for use on tenders, small boats or inflatables. Like all Selva outboards it comes with a five-year warranty for leisure use.
