Mark Featherstone
Mark came to the wider public’s attention in the early 1990s when he featured prominently in the BBC prime-time television series ‘Lifeboat’. The series was a ‘fly-on-the-wall/year in the life’ account of the Salcombe lifeboat crew, which Mark was serving on at the time. But Mark’s background and long association with the sea is one of the most accomplished and well-rounded of any marine reporter. As a former Round Britain powerboat adventurer, RNLI lifeboatman, and highly accomplished trans-oceanic yachtsman, Mark brings a genuine ‘taste of the sea’ to the magazine, as well as a host of real-time experience that underpins his observations with all the credibility that many international journalists can only dream of.
