With the 495 Flybridge, Nimbus officially stepped into the explorer segment and created a true “voyager”-a vessel for epic experiences and long-distance exploration. The 495 Flybridge defines new boundaries for possible experiences and establishes a new standard that makes the Nordic coupé boat relevant on the international market.
The Jury says: The hull of the 495 Fly was designed for low fuel consumption and hybrid propulsion solutions, making the boat highly efficient. Its well-known high-quality craftsmanship and innovative spatial design make the Nimbus 495 Flybridge the ideal touring vessel.

“We are very happy and grateful that the Nimbus 495 Flybridge has received this international award. With the 495 Fly, we want to magnify the coupé concept, while further consolidating Nimbus’s heritage from earlier and existing coupé models.”, says Joacim Gustavsson, Head of Design at Nimbus Group.
“We are extremely proud that our first entrance in this category dominated by big Mediterranean shipyards, has won this prestigious award. The 495 Fly is a floating home, an “Island of its own” that is both comfortable and safe, allowing you to feel embraced. The perfect boat for extended voyages, at the same time easy to handle”, says Jonas Göthberg, Commercial Director of Nimbus
“This award is proof that our in-house design team can create a yacht in this world class from concept to production, and that our fantastic boat builders in the Nimbus factories can deliver the highest quality”, says Mats Jacobsson, Technical Director of Nimbus Group.

The jury of the European Powerboat Award consists of test drivers and editors-in-chief of the leading European motorboat-magazines: Båtmagasinet (Norway), BoatMag (Italy), BOOTE (Germany), Neptune (France), Nautica y Yates (Spain), Neptune (France), Marina CH (Switzerland) and Yachtrevue (Austria). In total, the magazines represent over one million monthly readers in Europe and far beyond which makes this “European Powerboat Award” one of the most important awards of the boat industry worldwide. Nimbus Boats has previously won the award for the models Nimbus 365 Coupe (2012) and Nimbus W9 (2018) and Nimbus T8 (2021).
