Aqaba Blue marine expo to launch in Jordan in 2026 

Aqaba will host what organisers describe as Jordan’s first international diving, marine technology and blue economy event from 9 to 12 September 2026. 

Aqaba Blue: Ocean Future in Action will take place at the Aqaba International Exhibition Centre and is intended to create a regional platform for diving, watersports, marine science, tourism and marine innovation. 

PADI has joined the event as presenting partner. The show is being hosted in partnership with Aqaba Development Corporation and is supported by Fira Barcelona International and Salon Nautico Internacional de Barcelona. 

The organisers say the event will bring together marine businesses, researchers, policy-makers and ocean advocates to discuss technologies, partnerships and development across the marine sector. 

Its programme will cover diving and underwater imaging, marine science, ocean technology, watersports, tourism and hospitality, boating and marine lifestyle. Proposed subjects include coral reef restoration, sustainable marine tourism, marine research, equipment and emerging ocean technologies. 

More than 80 exhibitors are expected, along with 150 represented brands, over 50 international speakers and at least 4,000 visitors. Participation from more than 25 countries is expected with plans for over 20 workshops and educational sessions too. 

The event will also promote Aqaba as a Red Sea diving destination. Organisers highlight its coral reefs, underwater visibility, shore-diving access, warm water and regulated marine parks. 

The city’s underwater attractions include a collection of submerged tanks, helicopters and other vehicles. Organisers describe it as the world’s largest Underwater Military Museum. 

Aqaba Blue: Ocean Future in Action is scheduled for 9 to 12 September 2026 at the Aqaba International Exhibition Centre.
