Turn your smartphone into an inspection camera with the Laser Tools 9411 digital endoscope

Laser Tools has introduced the 9411 Digital Endoscope, a smartphone-compatible inspection camera designed for automotive, engineering, maintenance and DIY applications.  Particularly useful for inspecting bilges and engine bays.

Rather than using a dedicated display unit, the plug-and-play endoscope connects directly to compatible Apple iPhone (iOS), Android smartphones and Mac devices, allowing users to view, capture and share still images and video using their own device. 

According to Laser Tools, using a smartphone as the display and storage device removes the need to carry a separate inspection unit, making the system suitable for workshops, maintenance engineers, tradespeople and DIY users. 

The Laser Tools 9411 features a 5.5mm diameter high-resolution camera mounted on a 5-metre semi-rigid cable, allowing it to be guided through confined areas such as engine bays, body cavities, machinery, ducting and other restricted spaces. 

An adjustable six-LED lighting system provides illumination in low-light environments, while the cable length enables the connected smartphone to remain away from the inspection area. 

The endoscope is supplied with:

Laser Tools says these accessories make the unit suitable for tasks including inspecting engine components, checking for corrosion, examining pipework, retrieving dropped fixings and carrying out general maintenance inspections around the workshop, home or garden.
