Remigo, the Slovenian firm behind the award-winning RemigoOne electric outboard, has introduced a waterproof, wireless remote control that enhances onboard comfort and control. This long-awaited accessory responds directly to customer feedback and extends the versatility of RemigoOne for everyday use.
The new remote allows boaters to manage throttle settings from anywhere onboard, either handheld or from a dedicated tiller mount. A magnetic mount system offers effortless, secure placement, while the inclusion of a floating wrist strap adds security and portability.
The remote offers three tiller positions for ergonomic flexibility, and its Man Overboard (MOB) function halts the motor instantly if the user goes overboard. Using WLAN rather than Bluetooth, the remote ensures a stronger, more secure connection over a 15-metre range, with no internet connection required.
CEO Marko Vrtovec noted, “We designed RemigoOne for heavy-duty marine use with minimal vulnerability. This remote adds the convenience of tiller-style controls without compromising reliability.”
Developed over 18 months, the remote packs a high-capacity battery into a compact, waterproof casing. It provides 12 hours of active use and stays in standby for over a month. USB-C charging keeps the process simple.
Owners can lock the motor, steer via rudder, and adjust speed from anywhere onboard—whether navigating from the bow, heading to shore, or steering from the helm.
Lead engineer Tjaš Cvek added, “People asked for a tiller-style remote, and we wanted to deliver it right. Seeing their response at shows confirms we’ve done just that.”
Priced at €180, the remote includes the tiller mount and is available now at:
