RNLI research suggests Gen Z are taking coastal risks, prompting fresh Float to Live safety advice ahead of a busy…
A Plymouth boatyard that is home to the UK’s largest ‘indoor marina’ is seeing its on-site businesses expand and flourish, providing local employment opportunities in the marine trade.
Yacht Haven Quay in Plymstock is the base for a variety of growing marine businesses. Lewis Marine, an inboard and outboard marine engine sales and service company, have just declared a full order book, resulting in the employment of another full-time engineer. The engineering firm has also been appointed an official dealer for Suzuki Outboards.
Similarly, Nathan Bone Yacht Repairs and Refits have moved into new premises at Yacht Haven Quay. From a humble beginning less than two years ago as a ‘man in a van’, shipwright Nathan and his four-man team have taken tenancy of a brand-new boatshed and workshop, catering for vessels up to 50ft in length. Nathan is now the regional distributor for Flexiteek Decking.
