FB Imray releases new Solent, Channel and Adriatic guides

FB Imray has expanded its 2026 cruising guide series with a new group of releases covering the English Channel, the Solent and the Adriatic.

Published across April and May, the latest editions bring together updated pilotage, refreshed cruising intelligence and new editorial input for sailors preparing for the season ahead. The publisher said the books are intended to support confident passage-making across some of the most active and widely cruised waters.

Among the new releases is Solent Harbours (1st edition), a new compact guide by Tim Stickley. Covering one of the UK’s busiest sailing areas, it includes key harbours and anchorages from Southampton and Portsmouth to Cowes and Chichester Harbour.

Also joining the 2026 programme is The Shell Channel Pilot (9th edition), described as a landmark update to one of sailing’s most respected pilot books. The new edition is now authored by journalist and Yachtmaster Rachael Sprot, marking a new stage in the guide’s history. Fully rewritten, it combines detailed navigation guidance with a more contemporary and accessible voice while retaining the authority for which the title is known.

The third release is Adriatic Pilot (9th edition), a single-volume guide to the Adriatic Sea. This updated edition covers Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Albania, with revised marina, mooring and anchorage information throughout.

Together, the new and updated titles underline FB Imray’s ongoing focus on authoritative cruising guides for sailors cruising close to home or planning longer passages.
