Windermere’s third sustainable race day introduced a new national class and underlined growing momentum behind lower-carbon powerboat racing.
Simrad will be exhibiting their latest innovations at this year’s Southampton Boat Show, and a number of product experts will be on hand to offer advice and support as well as some exclusive boat show promotions.
There will be a wide range of Simrad electronics on display, including Simrad Cruise, a new entry-level chartplotter particularly suitable for those looking for a simple display for navigation. Visitors will also be able to see the new RS40B, the first VHF radio with the capability to send and receive AIS position data.
All Simrad products are compatible with C-MAP charts, and visitors to the show will be able to see the latest improvements, including new port plans, enhanced visibility at higher zoom levels, high-resolution bathymetry and Genesis Layer overlay.
Simrad will also be joined at the show by official drinks partner Mermaid Gin, who will be serving up a number of gin-based cocktails while visitors speak to one of the team.
