Windermere unveils new sustainable GT Mono Light class
Windermere’s third sustainable race day introduced a new national class and underlined growing momentum behind lower-carbon powerboat racing.
Spinlock debuted a number of new products at METSTRADE in Amsterdam, all of which have been shortlisted for Dame Design Awards.
Spinlock’s marine products cover three distinct sectors: control – rope holding and deck hardware products; protect– a range of personal protective equipment including life jackets, harnesses and flotation devices; and sense – data management tools for enhancing performance.
In the control sector, Spinlock introduced a new carbon tiller extension, the EAC Carbon Tiller, with the company’s designers having reviewed each component
of its predecessor to identify where a weight saving could be made without compromising design and performance.
In the protect sector, Spinlock’s new waist-worn ALTO flotation aid is compact and lightweight, and takes the benefits of an inflatable life jacket and combines them with the ISO 12402 50N flotation category. Meanwhile, the new VITO life jacket is the first life jacket harness to include a Harness Quick Release System: HRS.
Finally, Spinlock’s new Sail Sense app is aimed at facilitating owners’ sail management, with a view to enhancing both performance and sailing enjoyment.
