Windermere unveils new sustainable GT Mono Light class
Windermere’s third sustainable race day introduced a new national class and underlined growing momentum behind lower-carbon powerboat racing.
Suzuki launched their latest outboard engine, the DF325A, at the Boot Düsseldorf international boat show.
Designed to be robust, easy to use and versatile, it is built with everyday use of larger boats in mind, and this new outboard has been engineered to run on 91 RON fuel, making it the first 4-stroke outboard over 300hp to do so. The traditional single-propeller design not only creates forward thrust, but also produces a significant amount of rotational energy, and Suzuki’s engineers have captured this wasted energy and turned it into productive power by utilising a new dual-propeller technology.
A new three-blade propeller set-up has been developed with a view to providing enhanced acceleration and high performance, while dual injectors for both cooling and power and technologically advanced pistons are among the other benefits of this new outboard.
