This esteemed accolade recognises the exceptional talents of apprentices within the leisure marine, small commercial and superyacht sectors, with Anisha triumphing over finalists from some of the industry’s most renowned companies at the inaugural awards. The award process evaluates the apprentice’s journey from the very beginning of their apprenticeship to their current achievements as well as their impact and contributions to both the organisation and the wider sector.
Anisha’s achievement comes during a standout year for Williams Jet Tenders and follows the company’s receipt of the King’s Award for Enterprise 2024. Based in Oxfordshire, Williams Jet Tenders has established a strong reputation for its successful Apprenticeship Programme, boasting over 140 employees and a 100% apprentice retention rate. As the largest UK boat builder of its kind and the global leader in jet tender manufacturing, Williams continues to invest in the future of skilled boat building.
This latest award adds to Anisha’s growing list of accolades, following her win of the ‘Best of British Engineering’ at the Enginuity Awards in 2023. Reflecting on her success, Anisha said, “I am honoured to have won the inaugural ‘Apprentice of the Year Award.’ This is an incredible opportunity, and I am deeply grateful for the support from the entire Williams Jet Tenders team as well as my friends and family who have been instrumental in helping me reach this point.”
John Hornsby, Technical Director at Williams Jet Tenders, said: “We are extremely proud of Anisha for receiving the Apprentice of the Year Award. At Williams, we are deeply committed to training and nurturing talent, especially in an inland location like Oxfordshire, away from traditional coastal boat-building hubs. Anisha’s success is a testament to her hard work and the strength of our Apprenticeship Programme
“We extend our thanks to British Marine for recognising Anisha’s achievements, and we once again congratulate her on this fantastic accomplishment and look forward to seeing how the rest of her career progresses.”
