About Ben

Ben Jelf is a British offshore powerboat racer best known for competing in the F1H20 World Championship and is Britain’s youngest world champion in powerboat racing, having won the GT15 World Championship at age 11 in 2011. 

Coming from a respected powerboating family, Ben has built a reputation for combining competitive pace with technical understanding and consistency on the water.

Jelf has secured 6 international titles, 17 British titles, 5 world speed records and 12 national speed records, alongside multiple race victories and podium finishes in highly competitive offshore racing series. Racing alongside his father, Colin Jelf, the Jelf Racing team became recognised for its front-running pace and consistency, earning championship honours and establishing itself as one of the well-known names in British offshore powerboat racing.
