Aquila 35 Sport: a 35ft power catamaran built for socialising

The all-new Aquila 35 Sport, a power catamaran that Aquila says feels far larger than its 35ft length. The layout brings together a social bow, a convertible aft cockpit, a four-seat helm and a private queen cabin, while power-sliding seating lets people move from one part of the boat to another without interruption.

Aquila sees the 35 Sport covering everything from relaxed afternoons with friends and family to spontaneous overnight trips for two. The company describes it as a boat designed to turn an afternoon on the water into a weekend, bringing bold styling, comfort and confidence together in one design.

How much space does the Aquila 35 Sport offer?

Much of the 35 Sport’s space comes from its 14ft 9in beam, which Aquila says gives the boat class-leading usable space, and says a monohull would need to be 40 to 43ft long to come close to matching it. That space is split between the social bow, the convertible aft cockpit, the four-seat helm and the private queen cabin. Above them, the hardtop has room for lounging and for carrying water toys, and doubles as a launch pad into the water.

How easy is the Aquila 35 Sport to helm and move around?

According to Aquila, the helm has been designed to give a true 360-degree view, with a low dashboard, clear sightlines all round and every control within easy reach. The aim is that anyone on board can take the helm with ease.

Moving around the boat relies on power-sliding U-shaped seating. At the touch of a button it slides to port or starboard to widen the walkway, so docking, boarding or simply walking from fore to aft never means asking anyone to get up.

What engines power the Aquila 35 Sport and who is it for?

The 35 Sport is powered by twin Mercury Verado V8 300 or V10 400 outboards, mounted on a double-stepped hull which delivers strong acceleration and a smooth, stable and efficient ride.

Aquila sees the boat working equally well for a full day out with friends and family, a getaway for two or charter use. The 35 Sport is making its Americas debut at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 28 to November 1, 2026).
