New Aquila 35 Sport leads Cannes powerboat display

Aquila Catamarans will present five power catamarans at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, led by the world debut of the new Aquila 35 Sport.

Aquila 35 Sport specifications and layout

The 35 Sport adopts styling from the larger 45 Sport in a more compact power catamaran. Its double-stepped hull is paired with twin Mercury Verado V8 300hp outboards as standard, while twin Mercury Verado V10 400hp engines are available as an option.

With a beam of 14ft 9in, the layout includes seating for four in the bow, together with storage areas and features intended for day boating.

The aft cockpit has a large U-shaped convertible seating area with an adjustable backrest. It also includes a wet bar with a sink and storage, a Corian-topped galley unit and a Fusion Signature Series audio system with six speakers positioned around the boat.

The helm station has four adjustable seats with folding bolster cushions and armrests. Aquila says the layout has been designed to provide clear visibility and straightforward access to the controls.

Below deck, the cabin accommodates two people in a queen-size berth with a memory-foam mattress. It is accessed through a sliding console door beside the helm.  The cabin can be specified with climate control and includes a separate head with a shower. Aquila says the accommodation is intended to support both day trips and extended coastal cruising.

Further equipment includes a concealed stainless-steel swimming ladder and a C-Zone digital switching system for monitoring the DC electrical supply.

The vessel’s fibreglass hardtop provides storage for stand-up paddleboards and kayaks, while an optional Makefast system can provide additional shade.

Aquila 45 Sport makes European debut

The Aquila 45 Sport will also make its European debut following its launch at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show.

Hydraulic drop-down hull-side terraces extend its beam from 15ft to more than 19ft, opening the aft cockpit into a wider waterside seating area. Two U-shaped seating areas can be converted into a full-width sunbed. A separate full-beam seating area in the bow includes forward-facing loungers.

Aquila claim the double-stepped hull and twin Mercury Verado V12 600hp outboards enable the 45 Sport to reach speeds exceeding 50mph.

Private-viewing information is available through the Aquila Catamarans website.
