New model joins Aquila's centre console Sport range

Aquila Catamarans debuted the 35 Sport at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, adding a new model to its centre console Sport range. Aquila told PBR that the 35 Sport carries the same SUV-inspired styling Aquila has used on its flagship 45 Sport, in a smaller package aimed at owners who want high-speed performance on a boat built for socialising on the water.

What are the 35 Sport's dimensions and layout?

The 35 Sport measures 35’6″ in length overall with a 14’9″ beam, and Aquila says the design is intended to maximise usable deck space for a boat of this size. As on the Sport range’s flagship model, the layout is built around three separate social areas: the bow, the helm itself, and the aft cockpit.

How fast is the Aquila 35 Sport?

A double-stepped hull is designed to deliver strong performance and efficiency, and the 35 Sport comes as standard with twin Mercury Verado V8 300HP outboards, with twin Mercury Verado V10 400HP outboards available as an option. Aquila says this gives the boat a top speed of 39-45 knots (45-52mph), with a cruising speed of 25-34 knots (29-39mph). The catamaran hull is also designed to reduce drag and improve stability, while a shallow draught allows access to beach anchorages and coastal waterways.

What social and entertaining features does the 35 Sport offer?

Forward bow seating comfortably fits four people, with storage built into the space throughout. At the aft, a U-shaped seating area has an adjustable backrest that converts it into a sun lounger, and the seating can be moved side to side at the touch of a button to widen the walkway around the boat. The aft area also includes a wet bar, sink, storage, a Corian-topped galley block and a Fusion Signature Series audio system running six speakers.

At the helm, four seats with flip-down bolster cushions, armrests and adjustable positions are designed to keep the captain part of the social experience. The dashboard is set low to improve visibility and accessibility, and the helm is designed to offer protection from the elements underway.

What is the accommodation like below deck?

Below deck, the cabin sleeps two in a queen berth with a memory foam mattress, accessed through a lockable sliding door. There is a private head with a shower, and an optional lithium battery package is available for off-grid climate control, adding to the boat’s suitability for weekend cruising.

What other standout details does the 35 Sport include?

Other standout details include a concealed stainless steel swim ladder, stainless steel side gates and a freshwater pull-out shower at the transom. A C-Zone digital switching system monitors and controls DC power throughout, while the fibreglass hardtop is engineered to take optional roof racks for SUPs, bicycles and kayaks. An optional Makefast shade system extends shade coverage.

The 35 Sport takes everything that’s worked so well on the 45 Sport and brings it to an owner looking for something more compact, without losing any of the character or performance. The emphasis on entertainment and socialising is evident throughout, and the boat lives up to its name with the excellent sport performance.
